Want a read on my energy?
I’m Laura—a Toronto-based motion graphic designer and art director. You may have heard of me through my work as the motion designer behind stutter.ca—the D&AD, ADCC and multi-award-winning campaign for the Canadian Stuttering Association. I began my journey with a Bachelor of Design from OCAD University, where I unearthed my passion for motion graphics and video production. Since then, my experience as a multidisciplinary creator has spanned across a range of work for clients like RBC, Canada Post, Toyota, Home Hardware, Coca-Cola, and more. In every venture, I’ve left my mark through my uniquely kinetic eye for visual conception.
I’m the weird goth girl in the back of the room who will scold you for leaving the cinema while a title sequence is still playing. I believe in the value of craft, so I like to design things off-screen as well, making my own soap, candles, and whatever else when I’m feeling the itch. I turn every trip I take into a feature film. I live for thrill, adventure, and celebrating the uncanny in my work. It’s apparently how I got 15 minutes in Hollywood as a poster designer for The Walking Dead.
