Inspired
Inspired is the tag line for this hypothetical designer furniture biennale. The brand features a poster, event brochure, and wire frames for a website. Brand word mark and iconography were influenced by the modern design styles of the selected exhibitors; sleek, geometric forms, flat colours, and unconventional frames.

At 46 inches in height, the poster was explicitly required to be designed in greyscale.

Both the pamphlet and website take on a minimalist design, utilizing three colours and circular frames for images. All design decisions were made after extensive research of the chosen brands was carried out and consolidated.
All copy for the project was written by me, and design choices were informed by extensive research into each of the featured brands.

The homepage would feature an intro animation into a secondary version of the page. First, the bottom elements slide away, revealing space for an image scroll to pop up. Users could click or slide the mouse to cycle through random pieces featured in the biennale. The rest of the sponsor logos appear.
Finally, clicking another page in the navigation leads the remaining elements to slide away, shrinking the header into place. As it translates to its final location, the rest of the new elements appear.

Clicking the circular icon would change the image to a new piece by that particular brand. Clicking the orange image banner opens up an image viewer where viewers can cycle through larger res images.

Hovering over the speaker’s icon initiates a pop up of that brand’s furniture to better correlate the speakers to their affiliated brand. Scrolling down reveals the rest of the events for the following days.

Scrolling reveals more arbitrarily placed circular frames of DX interior images, all fit to the confines of the main container.
On any page, as the user scrolls, only content underneath the inspired header moves. Scrolling content disappears into the background just below the 2016 tagline. Icons, date, time, and logos remain stationary.
