Redefining Ontario for OPS

My first big production project at The&Partnership was this OLV for the Ontario Public Service. Our design and strategy team was tasked with developing an employee value proposition to redefine what it means to be a member of the public sector workforce in Ontario.

As the motion designer on our creative team, I had the opportunity to art direct and produce the OLV entirely, with the help of our team of writers who worked on the script. The OPS team had a distinct vision for the OLV, yet no idea of how they were going to get there, and we made it happen.

Our concept is based on a clean, minimalist style that the OPS team was drawn to. Motion is used to connect all of these messages seamlessly and create a compelling visual journey from beginning to end.

The OPS palette is super extensive, incorporating a vast rainbow of colours. To make the video feel more sophisticated, we focused on a refined range of colours, and carefully curated video clips and imagery from the exclusive OPS footage library.

We produced the OLV for both English and French audiences. Since our concept leveraged minimalist type as imagery in many instances, the French storyboard incorporates some alternate layouts that are equally visually captivating.
